Gold Breakstacker v2.02 is out, and it's a big step up from v1.05. The engine has been rebuilt from the ground up: a multi-timeframe breakout system for gold (XAUUSD) running from a single chart. No grid, no martingala, no averaging-down — every trade has its own stop.

v1.05 vs v2.02: the backtest ($1,000 account, Jan 2020 → Jul 2026)

The comparison I'd look at first: v1.05 only got to similar profit (+$72,127) by risking 1% per strategy, and that took a 56% drawdown. v2.02 gets there at 30%.

Test method, stated plainly: the v1.05 numbers are from my July release tests on the 1-minute OHLC model. The v2.02 numbers are from the stricter 100% real tick test. They aren't like for like, and the real tick test is the harder one, so if anything this is tougher on v2.02. I haven't re-run v1.05 on the same real tick setup.

What's new (without giving away the recipe)

• Rebuilt multi-timeframe breakout engine — several independent strategies, each on its own timeframe
• Failed breakouts are cut early instead of being left to run to a wide stop
• Strategies scale with your account size — a small account trades a conservative set, and more unlock as the balance grows. A $1,000 account now starts on 5 strategies from day one
• Three inputs instead of twenty-two — everything else is fixed at the validated configuration, so nobody ends up running settings that were never tested
• Tighter licensing and a simpler on-screen panel

Positive in all seven years, restarting at $1,000 each time. 2021 is the weak one (+5.6%, with a 27% drawdown) and I'm showing it on purpose.

The honest bit

v2.02 is historically validated, NOT forward tested. Every number above is a backtest.

Plan around roughly 40% a year at a profit factor near 1.5, and expect a drawdown near 34%. That's the result on the window the settings were fitted on (Jan 2020 → Jan 2024, $50k start: 42%/yr, PF 1.52, 33.7% drawdown). The headline +$73.9K leans heavily on gold's exceptional run in 2024–26. A flat or choppy gold market should give you the fitted-window numbers, or worse. A 30% fall from peak is a normal outcome for this system, not a malfunction — size it so you can sit through that.

Execution matters more than usual. Every entry is a stop order, and stop orders slip live while a backtest fills them exactly. In my testing the profitability holds up to roughly 34 cents of total cost per fill and degrades beyond that. Gold's raw spread alone is typically 12–20 cents, so a poor broker, a slow VPS or trading through news can eat the margin. Run it on demo first and compare your real fills against the trigger prices.

Running it

1. Copy Gold Breakstacker v2.02.ex5 into MQL5\Experts and restart MT5
2. One-time setup: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add https://licence.mralanforex.com — without it the EA can't validate and won't start
3. Attach it to an XAUUSD chart (any timeframe — each strategy reads its own)
4. Check the on-screen panel shows your licence status in green

Upgrading from v1.05: remove v1.05 from the chart first. Both use the same default magic number base (8000), so don't run them side by side on one account, and let any open v1.05 trades close before you switch.

You need either a Premium Patreon membership or a standalone Gold Breakstacker licence. Gold is spread-sensitive, so a raw-spread/ECN feed and a VPS are strongly recommended.
